Masjid Raya in Bandung located in West Java Province, which used to be known as the name of the Great Mosque of Bandung is a mosque located in Bandung, West Java. The status of this mosque is a mosque in the province of West Java. This first mosque built in 1810, and also since its establishment, this Grand Mosque has experienced eight times the reshuffle that is in the 19th century, then it was five times in the 20th century and until finally renovated again in 2001 until the inauguration. Masjid Raya Bandung June 4, 2003, which was inaugurated by a Governor of West Java at that time, H.R. Nuriana. The new mosque, which is already Arabic, replaces the old Grand Mosque, which is a Sundanese character.





Masjid Raya Bandung is, as of now, there are two twin towers on the left side and also on the right side of the mosque as high as 81 meters which is always open to the public on every Saturday and Sunday. The roof of the mosque is replaced from the roof of a joglo into a large dome that is on the middle roof is also smaller on the roof of the left and right mosque and also the walls of this mosque are made of high-quality natural stone. Currently, the total area of the mosque's total land reaches 23,448 m² and with a building area of 8,575 m² and can also accommodate around 13,000 worshipers.





Masjid Raya Bandung is located in Alun-Alun Bandung and also near the Road Asia-Afrika, in the center of Bandung. Its centrally located location makes it so easy to find. Not far from this great mosque, on the same street stood with magnificent Gedung Merdeka and also Hotel Preanger, these two buildings are so closely related to the history of the Asian-African Conference in 1955.





The road between the Savoy Homann Hotel and the Asian-African Building makes it a silent witness of the leaders' journey to the Asian-African countries that were then walking from the Homman Hotel where they were staying at the conference venue at the Asia Africa Building and also included for praying in the Mosque Agung Bandung and vice versa.
